About ourselves

Our school is situated in the centre of Budapest providing an 8-graded primary and a 4-graded secondary education. In order to be worthy of  Lajos Bárdos, the famous composer, who gave his name to our school, we develop our students’ artistic skills providing them with an outstanding music education and having a rich choir life  also helps them to spend their free time in a useful way and to become happy adults in the future. The school celebrated its 50^thanniversary last year with a series of events ranging from the transmitting of one of the biggest wall paintings in Central Europe to a Mayday with the participation of nearly every student, teacher and lots of parents.

The Secondary School was founded in 1998 and it offers special education in two main fields: in realities, namely Maths and ICT, and also in languages: English and German which are taught in an increased number of lessons giving our students the chance to take advanced level Final Exams and also state exams. We regularly organise trips to foreign countries: England, Italy, Poland.
